The California Highway Patrol news release said he was driving at an unknown speed, but Officer Robert Rodriguez said earlier in the day that he apparently took a corner too fast, which caused his load to shift and and flip over.

Fire damages fence, but could have been worse

Submitted by Sabrina Rodriguez on Sunday, July 18th, 4:35 pm

It's not the best of sights to wake up to, seeing the empty lot next to your home on fire with the flames coming toward your house, but that's what happened to Kenneth Few.

At about 10:00am Sunday, Few saw flames coming over his fence toward his home located near Olive and Roberts Ln.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire without damage to the home, however, the fence did sustain damage.

Few is glad the fire didn't spread into the backyard. "We have paints and so forth and we're remodeling. They are right in that area. If it got across the fence then we would be in real trouble."

Firefighters say it only took them a few minutes to put the fire out.

About an acre of property was damaged.
