The North High School Cross Country is holding a yard Saturday, April 24 at the school's front bus loading area.
All the money raised will help the cross country team pay for uniforms, equipment and travel expenses.
The school is located at 300 Galaxy Avenue. The yard sale runs from 6 am to 2 pm.
Wingland Elementary is sponsoring a crafts fair on March 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 701 Douglas Street.
Come see vendors from all over the Bakersfield/Oildale metro area, organizers say.
Dozens of cars, trucks and motorcycles revved their engines down Olive Dr. for the fifth annual Christmas Car Show and Toy Drive in Oildale.
The Christmas parade started at the Sonic on Olive Dr. and ended at North High School.
There were live bands, a kids corner and, of course, lots of toys to be given out.
The event was called "Operation Soul Winner" and benefited the children of Standard and Beardsley School District.
